Our nursery has been purpose built to cater for young children ranging from 0 – 5 years. We are located about a mile away from the M53 which links Liverpool through the Wirral to the Cheshire Plains, and we are also near to the New Chester Road. We place a large emphasis on discovering the world around us and believe our welcoming and unique environment plays a key role in supporting and extending childrens development and learning. Our superb outside area includes lots of opportunities for children to explore and actively learn in. Children enjoy planting and nurturing a variety of organic vegetables and flowers which also encourages lots of investigation into creepy crawlies.
Children learn to co-operate with each other throughout every part of their day in the nursery, whilst gaining confidence and independence through active fun.

Staff
Our Nursery Manager is a qualified NVQ 3 in Childcare Learning and Development and is currently studying towards a Foundation Degree in Early Years Practice. She has worked for the organisation for 3 years. We also have a qualified Teacher who assists in the planning of our Nursery Curriculum. She has thirty years experience of working with children of all ages in schools and private day nurseries. Each room is supported by a Nursery Supervisor who is qualified to N.V.Q level 3 or above. We also have N.V.Q level 2 and 3 staff deployed throughout the building. All staff hold an up to date, enhanced C.R.B. Check. It is a requirement that anyone working in our Nursery receives training and approved certificates on Child Protection, Food Hygiene and First Aid. Staff are encouraged to expand their knowledge in areas of child care which is of interest to them and regularly attend courses run by our local Early Years Department. In addition, we provide monthly, compulsory In House training sessions and policy reviews.

Meals
Children eat with their eyes! We are well aware that children can be very fussy eaters. Our menu is a combination of healthy, nutritious food, served attractively. We provide a full meal service of breakfast, lunch and tea with regular fruit snacks. Drinks of milk and water are available throughout the day. Children's individual dietary needs are taken into consideration and any special diets such as dairy free, vegetarian etc. are catered for. We do not add any salt to our meals and promote healthy eating throughout the nursery. Food is used for its high nutritional value and overseen by a qualified dietician. Menus follow a 4 weekly timetable. Where possible, to promote independence we encourage children to make choices. e.g choice of filling for baked potato. If a child is not eating well we will inform parents.
Parents of children who prefer packed lunch are asked to not include any nuts and are asked to follow the guidelines outlined in our Healthy Eating policy. For a more detailed menu, please click here or contact the nursery.
