Here at Daisy and Jake, we are committed to promoting great benefits to all our staff. The benefits that we offer are as follows:
Salaries
Each year, staff salaries are reviewed, to ensure that our wages are in line with other childcare establishments.
Holidays
All full time staff are entitled to 22 days holiday per year (January to December). Part-time employees are entitled to annual leave on a pro-rata basis.
At the start of the holiday year following two years continuous service, staff are eligible for an extra days holiday per year up to a maximum of four extra days.
Pensions
All employees are entitled to participate in the stakeholder pension scheme operated by the Company.
Professional Development
We offer in-house training, with the support of an Early Years Professional and ongoing external training/ free nvq and degree training throughout your career here with us at Daisy and Jake. We believe in keeping our staff motivated and up to date with current practices and guidelines. We are committed to providing excellent career development and support.
Uniforms
All staff are entitled to one free tunic per year.
Discounted Childcare
We offer 10% off childcare fees for all staff who place their child within one of our nurseries – subject to availability.
Discount on Gym Membership
We have a corporate agreement with Total Fitness, where all Daisy and Jake staff are entitled to join the gym at a discounted rate.
Makro
All staff are entitled to a Makro card where you can receive big discounts on selected items.
Deal of The Week
Each week, special offers are displayed in our staff room, ranging from meal deals in well known restaurants, to money off vouchers, to cheap flights and holidays.
Employment
Our people are the key to the success of our company. Recruiting quality staff is vital to our plans and employing the right people to develop their talents is vital in enabling the company to grow. It is the people we employ that make the difference to the standard of service received by parents/carers and children.

Joining the team
On commencement of employment you will receive an induction programme to support you and integrate you into the team. Your induction programme will provide you with the skills and knowledge to provide quality childcare and education to the children within our care.
On successful completion of your induction programme, you will be encouraged to further enhance your own development and take on additional responsibility and undertake additional training. You may also complete a qualification relevant to your post. Your manager will provide you with support and guidance through regular supervision that will include reviewing performance and agreeing objectives and personal development plans. You will be given the opportunity to develop your knowledge of our organisation, its culture and philosophy.
We have a well structured career path from nursery nurse trainee to operational management. We will encourage you to develop your potential in an environment which is both nurturing and challenging.
If you have a desire to work in childcare but have little or no experience, we also operate Modern Apprentice programmes, which will support you in achieving NVQ Level II and III in childcare. Please refer to the Training Programme page for more information.
